Mary L. Geffs was a Socialist Party candidate for University Trustee in 1908.  Two years later she ran on for Secretary of State for Colorado in 1910.  In 1912 Geffs ran for the State Assembly. She was also the Socialist candidate for Colorado Governor as well as Supreme Court Justice in 1918.
