Mary E. Hotz Blakeley was the Socialist candidate for Judge of the Juvenile Court in Colorado in 1912. Four years later in 1916 she was the Socialist Party candidate for State Superintendent of Instruction of Colorado. In this race Blakeley ran against two other women and was defeated by the Democratic candidate. Two years later Blakeley was a Socialist Party candidate who ran unsuccessfully for the state assembly from Denver County.
