Helen Wisely Hall was a Socialist Party candidate for California State Assembly in 1912. She was among the first group of women to run for state-wide office after California women gained full suffrage and electoral rights in 1911.
In 1912 Lizzie Robe campaigned on the Socialist ticket for California's Twenty-eighth assembly district seat (San Francisco). With 755 votes, she ran a distant third to the winner who polled 4,355 votes.
