Julia L. Soule was the Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Yellowstone County, Montana in 1892. She lost the race to the incumbent, Martha J. Crampton. As Julia L. Soule Davis was the Silver Republican and Independent candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Carbon County, Montana four years later in 1896. She lost to the Democratic Candidate Martha A. Kearns. Davis was a school teacher in the area.
