Nora Deupree was the Democratic Party candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Elbert County, Colorado in 1912. She lost that race to her Republican oppononent and incumbant, Clara M. Keirn. Deupree ran again on the Democratic ticket in 1914 and won her race. She served for one term. Deupree was a graduate of the University of Colorado and served as a school teacher for several years before her election.
