Clara M. Keirn was elected as County Superintendent of Schools for Elbert County, Colorado in 1908. She was elected to two additional terms. Keirn was a graduate of the Colorado Teachers College. In Elbert County she was connected to the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and other women's groups.
