Lola D. Forsythe was a candidate for School Board in Gilroy, Santa Clara County, California in 1906. She did not win the race, although she had lots of support from women in the town. One local newspaper report noted that women did not come out to vote for her on election day. However, as women in California did not have school suffrage in 1906, this report seems to be in error.
