Chalfant, Margaret

Margaret Chalfant was elected to the School Board of Bellefontaine, Ohio in 1895. Chalfant won by a majority of 827 votes, the largest margin in the history of the city. She was the Republican nominee for the seat. Chalfant was a dedicated temperance worker.
