Bertha Witmer was the Socialist candidate for County Recorder for Uintah County, Utah in 1908. She ran against two other women candidates Minerva Johnson (Democrat and winner) and Addie Longhurst (Republican). Witmer was again the Socialist candidate for County Recorder in 1912.
