Schleigh, Mary E.

In 1899 Mary Schleigh was elected to the Beattie, Marshall County (Kansas) city council. The mayor, council, and city clerk were all women. In 1900 Schleigh again is listed as a council member, in a group of men and women. Mary was married to merchant Jake V. Schleigh.
