Clara Marshall was a Municipal League candidate for the eighth ward School Committee in Philadelphia in 1896. She ran again for the same office in 1909. Marshall was a leading physician and became Dean of the Women's Medical College in Philadelphia from 1888 to 1917. Marshall supported woman suffrage and worked for the entrance of women to membership in medical societies.
