Walworth, Ellen H.
Ellen H. Walworth was elected to the Board of Education for Saratoga Springs, New York in 1880. Walworth was elected with two other women. 1880 was the first year in New York that women could vote and campaign for school offices. Walworth was one of the founders of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and active in several philanthropic and community efforts.
