Hattie A. Norton was a candidate for State Assembly from Montrose and Delta Counties, Colorado in 1896. She lost the race by only 87 votes. Eight years later Norton was the Populist candidate for State Auditor in Colorado in 1904. She received 659 votes and came in fourth out of five candidates.
