Alice G. Noland was elected the Archuleta County, Colorado Superintendent of Schools in 1916. She also served in the office in 1919 through 1920, having won election in 1918. As superintendent in 1919 she helped to prepare a report titled, "The Public Schools of Archuleta County, Colorado: A Survey," with Professor Frankl. Clapp, of the University ofColorado. She is also listed in the Colorado Educational Directory, 1920-21 as the Archuleta County superintendent of schools. The 1920 U.S. Census lists her as being a widow with a son and a daughter. She was born in Michigan and when superintendent, resided in Pagosa Springs.
