Clara Edwards Graham was elected as School Commissioner in 1907 of Mississippi County, Missouri. She was elected again in 1909 and qualified as County Superintendent the same year. In 1915 Graham was elected for another term. Graham had been educated at a state normal school and then taught in local schools.
