Helen F. McKee was elected as County Superintendent of Schools for Clark County, Missouri in 1915. She may have served for a second term. McKee attended the State Teachers College at Kirksville, Missouri, and after graduation taught schools for several years. After serving as County Superintendent McKee worked for the Laidlow Brothers Educational Publishing Company.
