Lola LeBaron was elected as the County Superintendent of Schools for Pinal County, Arizona in 1914. One newspaper reported that she drove all over the county in her buggy during the campaign. LeBaron was probably the first woman elected to the office in the county. She was the Democratic candidate in 1916 and won a second term. LeBaron won a third term in 1918.
