Alice M. Ruble was elected to the Colorado State House in 1902. She was the only woman to serve in the Colorado legislature that year. By 1900 Ruble was active with the Teller Silver Republican party in Denver, but by 1902 she was a Democratic candidate for a seat in the state house. Ruble had been active in the state suffrage associations and served as an officer of the Denver Woman's Club. She died in 1906 after a long illness.
