Marie L. Campeau was elected as County Superintendent of Schools for Douglas County, Wisconsin in 1917. She had been a school teacher before her election. By 1920 Campeau was a police woman for the city of Superior, Wisconsin.
Maud Neprud was elected as the County Superintendent for Vernon County, Wisconsin, 1917. She later was appointed to the State Board of Control in charge of charitable and penal institutions.
