Minnie E. Merriam was the Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Fremont County, Colorado in 1906. She ran again 1908 and was elected to the office. In 1910 Merraim lost to her Democratic opponent, Mabel Curran. Merriam ran once more in 1916 and lost the race to her Democratic rival, Anna S. Garwood.
