Gertrude A. Lee was a candidate for Presidential Elector in Colorado in 1912. That year Lee was also a candidate for Committeewoman in Precinct 1, District F. in Denver. Two years later Lee became the chairman of the Colorado Democratic state committee, the first woman in the country to head a state political party.
