Ellis, Gerturde C.

Gertrude C. Ellis was the first woman elected County Superintendent of Schools in Mower County, Minnesota. Ellis served in the office from 1891-1901. She was later an associate newspaper editor.

Sherwood, Grace B.

Grace B. Sherwood was the County Superintendent of Schools for Mower County, Minnesota from 19019-1913. Sherwood later served as an instructor in the Normal School at the University of Minnesota.
