Maud Lauderdale
Maud Lauderdale was elected as County Recorder of Webster County, Iowa in 1912. She was re-elected in 1914. Lauderdale had served as a clerk in the Iowa House of Representatives and later as an assistant post mistress. In 1924 Lauderdale was the Democratic candidate for Iowa Secretary of State, but she lost to the Republican candidate.
