Almira J. Hudson was a Democratic candidate from Denver and Adam Counties for State House of Representatives of Colorado in 1906. She did not win a seat. Hudson was politically active in the city, serving as an officer of the Civic Federation for several years. In 1900 she was a member of the Women for Bryan Club and part of the Teller Silver Republican party. Three years later Hudson, with many other women, had transferred political loyalties of the Democrats and was part of the Jane Jefferson Democratic club. Hudson had been part of the state suffrage movement in the 1890s and was also active in the Colorado Equal Suffrage Association.
