Anna B. Schmidt, a Democrat, was elected as County Superintendent of Schools for Campbell County, Wyoming in 1916. Before her election she was a school teacher in the county. In 1918 Schmidt was one of the non-partisan candidates for County Superintendent. She lost the race to the other non-partisan candidate, Laura C. Heath.
