Elizabeth Worth Muller was an Independent Republican candidate for state assembly from Sullivan County, New York in 1919. She was not elected. Muller was a local Republican party activist. Also a suffrage leader, she eventually became the chair of the National Woman's party branch in the county. Muller also supported birth control and marriage reform. Before her marriage Muller had graduated from New York University with a law degree and was the first woman in the county to pass the bar. In 1923 Muller attempted a second run for elected office, seeking a seat in the state assembly.
