Florence Chick was the Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for King County, Washington in 1884. She lost to an independent candidate. Chick may have been with the state suffrage campaigns. She lived apart from her husband, divorced him in 1887 on the grounds of adultery, and moved to California with her two sons.
