Jacoby, Margery E.

Margery Jacoby, a Republican, was elected County Superintendent of Schools of Chouteau County, Montana, in 1894. She served for two terms. In 1894 she won against the four-term incumbent, Mary E. Finnigan. While teaching in the county Jacoby boarded with a family, whose head was a delegate to the local Republican convention and nominated her.
