Jenette H. Bolles was a candidate for the School Board of Denver, Colorado in 1915. Bolles was endorsed by a coalition of women's groups in the city who wanted a progressive woman elected to the office. Bolles was a pioneering osteopathic doctor, founding the Western Institute for Osteopathy in 1897. She served as the first editor of the Journal of Osteopathy, and received awards from medical organizations. Bolles was a suffragist and involved in children's issues on the local, state, and national levels.
