Carrie A. Craven was the Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Granite County, Montana in 1898. She lost to the Democratic and Populist candidate, Mary E. Smith. Craven ran again for the office two years later, but lost to Maria C. Ryan the Fusion candidate.
