Mary L. DeClercy (or DeClereq or DeClerq) was elected County Superintendent of Schools for Franklin County, Nebraska in 1875. She was serving in the office in 1890.
Clara Shumway was elected as the County Superintendent of Public Instruction for Banner County, Nebraska, in 1889. That same year she was appointed as the Postmistress of Ashford in the county. Shumway was the first Superintendent after the county was organized in the year of her election. She went on to serve for two terms.
Lucindy Falor was elected as the County Superintendent of Public Instruction for Chase County, Nebraska, in 1890. She may have served for a second term in office.
Mattie McGee was the County Superintendent of Cheyenne County, Nebraska in 1889. She served in the office for four years. McGee was a School Teacher in the area, and then a sheep rancher. She married Eugene Taplin, a fellow rancher in 1895.
