In the primary of 1914 Bess H. Law ran for two offices. She was a Progressive candidate for County Clerk and Recorder of Sedgwick County, Colorado in 1914. In that race she lost to the incumbent, Lily Z. Labaree. Law was also the Progressive and Republican candidate for was elected as County Superintendent of Schools. Although she did not start getting out and campaigning until mid October, Law won in the general election and served for one term Law was a School Teacher in the area.
