From collection Candidates
Elizabeth Parker was the Democratic candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Sedgwick County, Colorado in 1910 and 1912. She lost to the Republican incumbent Ella Weaver Babcock in both races. In 1910 her nomination was filed less than fifteen days before the general election, counter to state law. The county Republican party leadership protested and took the case to court. The judge found for the Republicans and ordered Parker's nomination, and that of another Democratic candidate to be withdrawn.
