Maxey, Sadie H.

Sadie H. Maxey, the Republican candidate, was elected as the County Superintendent of Schools for Park County, Colorado in 1895.  She was re-elected two years later. Maxey ran for a third term in 1899, but lost to the Fusion candidate Lillian K. Remington. She returned to teaching in local schools. Maxey ran again for the office in 1906, but lost the race.
