Isabel L. Moore, was elected as the Treasurer of the city of Ouray, Ouray County, Colorado 1895. She was also elected to the office of County Superintendent of Schools for Ouray County. It is unclear if she served in both offices at the same time. In 1897 Moore was re-elected as County Superintendent on the Democratic and Peoples party tickets. Two years later Moore ran for a third term as County Superintendent on the Labor and Peoples party tickets, but lost to the Democratic candidate Minnie M. Holaday. Moore, ever the busy official was serving as the librarian of the Ouray public librarian.
