Anna R. White was elected as the County Superintendent of Schools for Morgan County, Colorado in 1912. She was elected to a second term in 1914. In 1916 White ran for a another term, but came in third in the Republican party nomination. White had announced her first candidacy for the office in 1908 as a Republican, but did not win. She was intstrumental in bringing a public library to Fort Morgan where she lived.
