Mary Mullins, endorsed by Democrats and Populists, was elected County Superintendent of Schools in Silverbow County, Montana in 1896. Mullins ran again for the office in 1900 as a fusion candidate. She was endorsed by the Democrats, the Peoples party, the Labor party and the Eight Hour Republicans. Mullins was re-elected for a third term and served through 1904.
