Ruth Fisher was the Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Lake County, Colorado in 1910. She lost to the Democratic incument, Ollie I. Vivian. Before her race Fisher had served as Assistant Principal at Leadville (Lake County) schools. She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada and immigrated to the U.S. in 1892.
