Evans, Mrs. C. J.
Mrs. C. J. Evans was elected to the Topeka, Kansas School Board in 1909. Evans was an active clubwoman suffrage activist.  Her political campaign was supported by women in the city, who actively worked to bring out voters. Evans ran with another woman candidate and one newspaper reported that a group of male politicians opposed the two women. Evans continued to active in reform issues through the 1920s.
