Agnes Alford was the Democratic candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Douglas County, Colorado in 1906. In 1912 Alford was a candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction, but did not win that race. Fours year later she was appointed as Postmaster of Castle Rock, in Douglas County, but decided to return to her work in education instead.
