Kate Gordon was the Republican candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Montrose County, Colorado in 1910. She received about forty percent of the vote and lost to the Democratic incumbent, Mary Abernathy. Gordon had a doctoral degree in psychology and had a chair at the University of Colorado. She wrote a book on aesthetics and published articles and reviews for philosophical journals.
