Rainie A. Small was elected County Superintendent of Schools for Snohomish County, Washington in 1900. She served in the office forn one term, and then was re-elected in 1914 for one term. Before election to office Small served as the Principal for a county grammar school. She was active in the Grange movement and prominent in the county suffrage organizations.
