Mabel Baily was the Citizens party candidate for City Clerk in Montrose, Montrose County, Colorado in 1901. Baily lost the race to the incumbent, Laura Keeling. In 1901 four Montrose women ran for office. By 1910 Baily was an assistant postmistress for the town.
