Sadie C. Sweeney was elected as City Clerk of Seal Beach, Orange County, California in 1918. Sweeney later served on the city's Board of Health and for the local Chamber of Commerce. She wrote up a report on Seal Beach for the 1921 publication, The History of Orange County, California by Samuel Armor.
