Mary E. Day was elected as Town Clerk and Treasurer for Baltimore, Windsor County, Vermont, in 1908 and served until 1910.  In this small village Day also served as one of the School Directors. Day was the first woman to serve as either Clerk or Treasurer in Baltimore.
