White, Charlotte M.
Charlotte M. White was the first woman in Wayne County, Nebraska to be elected to the office of County Superintendent of Schools. She was elected to her first term in 1893, and won a second term in 1897. White ran again in 1910 as the Democratic candidate, but was defeated by her Republican challenger, Elsie Littell.
