Margaret Robins was elected City Treasurer for Idaho Springs, Colorado in 1901. She served in the position for at least two terms, until about 1907, when she was defeated by Augusta E. Woodward for the office. In 1905 she and another were appointed as deputy clearks to assist in that year's elections. By 1925 Robins served as the Librarian of the town's public library.
