Abbie E. Krebs was a candidate for Republican Presidential Elector in the California primary election of 1916. Krebs was a prominent Republican in California and served as the vice president of the state Women's Republican League. She worked for party support of suffrage with the National American Woman Suffrage Association. Krebs was a writer for the San Francisco Chronicle and was long connected to the Pacific Coast Womsn's Press Association. In 1906 she edited a book of writings by WPA members in 1906. Krebs was also a businesswoman who succeeded to the preidency of the Caspar Lumber Company, originally started by her father.
