Hutchinson, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Hutchinson was the Socialist Labor party candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Mesa County in 1899. She won the race ahead of Democratic/Silver Republican, and Populist candidates. Five years later Hutchinson was the Socialist Labor candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction in Colorado. She received 362 votes and came in fourth place in a field of six candidates.
