Maud Graves was the Republican party candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Nobles County, Minnesota, about 1883. She did not win the race. However, Graves ran again for the office in 1896 and was successful. She served for several terms as the Republican candidate, in one campaign as an independent. Her last campaign was in 1906 and she did not win the race.
